I’m collecting materials for a new project about I’m collecting materials for a new project about fine art vs modern art vs kitsch art. And I once again came across Roger Scruton’s articles and lectures. He’s amazing  philosopher and writer. Definitely worth checking out.
Life takes turns and even painters end up in a hos Life takes turns and even painters end up in a hospital. Fortunately, in addition to awesome view from my window I also got the best team of surgeons. Everything is going in the right direction, I’m healing well.  The surgery went well without any hiccups. Hopefully I’ll get back to my painting projects in my studio 9,035 feet above the sea level.

За пару днів мушу закінчити роботу і подати її на виставку. Не пам’ятаю, щоб якась картина мені давалась так важко.  Ну але це без слів зрозуміло. Перед тим, як прописувати деталі, не можу визначитись. В мене питання до вас, чи варто робити на обличчі рани, чи завершувати в такому варіанті?
П.с. В кінці буде зрозуміло, що на руці палає саме бавовна, а не щось безформенне.
Пп.с. Уляна, дівчина, з якої я взяла цей образ, живе в Бучі. Вона вижила.

In a couple of days I have to finish the work and submit it to the exhibition.  I don't remember any painting being so difficult for me to work on. Well, this is self-explanatory.  Before proceeding to the details, I cannot decide on one thing. I have a question for you, should I make wounds on the face, or finish it this way?
 PS  In the end, it will be clear that it is cotton that is burning on her hand, and not something shapeless.
 Pp.s.  Ulyana, the girl from who became my inspiration for this painting, lives in Bucha.  She survived.
